Bajan Female Surfers Chelsea Tuach and Chelsea Roett in the Finals of the Viridian Women’s Pro at ECSC in Virginia
Chelsea Tuach has continued her dominant form, surfing strong at the East Coast Surfing Championships in Virginia. She arrived on Tuesday night after an amazing 8 days of surfing in Panama with 2011 World Champion, Carissa Moore where the girls’ were being filmed for a Red Bull documentary.
Unfortunately, Chelsea did not make it in time for her heat in the Girls’ 15-17 Division. However, she has been performing well in the Viridian Women’s Pro. She won her Round 1 heat on Wednesday with a 16.8 heat total, one of the highest heat totals of this Division. On Thursday, she had solid scores in her Quarter Final heat and scored a 9.8 and a 6.0 to win her Semi-Final heat.
US National Team riders, Nikki Viesens and Emily Ruppert were second and third respectively. Chelsea surfs in the Final on Sunday along with fellow Barbadian, Chelsea Roett and US Team riders Kulia Doherty and Nikki Viesens.
