Reigning Viridian Women’s Pro Champion, Bajan Surfer, Chelsea Roett is ready to defend her title at the East Coast Surfing Championships in Virginia Beach on Sunday, August 26. With several other top female surfers including fellow Bajan, Chelsea Tuach vying for top honors in the upcoming final, Roett must be at her best. Last year, she won the event moments before Hurricane Irene passed through Virginia and this year, her overseas coach Jim Hogan has been specifically preparing her for this event with four weeks of daily training sessions in the US waves.

Roett won most of her qualifying heats leading up to the finals, and she’s also competing in the finals of the Junior Pro Divison. Check out the video below to see some of Chelsea’s training in Barbados before she left for the US contests.
