Ché Allan is Under 16 Caribbean Champion 2012
At just 13 years old, Ché Allan has proved that he can hold his own with the older surfers competing in the first ever Caribbean Championship, held in conjunction with the Western Atlantic Pro Surf Series (WAPSS) tour.
The Caribbean Championship consisted of a series of 3 contests held in Barbados, Trinidad and Jamaica, with the top performers in each age division claiming the Caribbean Championship title. The divisions contested were the Open Mens, Open Womens, U21 Pro Junior and the U16 Boys.
Ché excelled in the first event held in Barbados at the Independence Pro, and continued his high performance surfing in Trinidad and Jamaica emerging the top boy in the Under 16 category for 2012.
In the older age division, U21 Pro Junior, his consistency throughout each contest carried him into second place for 2012, coming second to fellow Bajan, 20 year old Bruce Mackie.
Ché has had a tremendous year placing on the podium in the eight overseas contests he competed in thus far. He has further plans this summer to compete in the Rip Curl Grom Search in New Smyrna FL and Kitty Hawk NC, the East Coast Surfing Championship in Virginia and the NSSA Series.
This Quiksilver and Dragon sponsored grom is ripping it up for Barbados!!
