Bajan Chelsea Roett is going to California for the US Open of Surfing and the Paul Mitchel SuperGirl Pro
Radical Bajan female surfer, Chelsea Roett received the good news that she had secured entry into the
Association of Surfing Professionals (ASP) Nike US Open of Surfing due to take place at Huntington Beach Pier, California on the 28th July to August 5th 2012. She also received confirmation that she will be surfing in the Paul Mitchell SuperGirl Pro 6 Star Women’s Pro against the worlds best professional women surfers which will be held at, Oceanside Pier, California August 9th to 12th 2012.
Chelsea is ecstatic at gaining entry into these prestigious events. She has been training hard with the help of Bajan coach Zed Layson of Zed Surfing Adventures and personal fitness trainer Chiara Joostin of Move 2 More, Mind. Body.Fitness. Chelsea recently returned from Costa Rica after a ten day training camp with International surf coach Jim Hogan who will also be accompanying Chelsea as her coach while in California.
She is also due to fly out to Jamaica on today to compete in the Western Atlantic Surf Series, Makka Pro, Jamaica Event. Chelsea current leads the standings in the Western Atlantic Surf Series Women’s Pro Division.
Chelsea has already had a great start in overseas competitions for this year competing in two contests overseas where she won at both (Surf Federation of Costa Rica, Olympus National Circuit, Under 18 Women and the Western Atlantic Surf Series (WASS) Open Women’s division in Trinidad).
