Clean Sweep for Tremaine Forde-Catwell
Tremaine Forde-Catwell left no doubt as to who will be the winner of the 310 Premier Class first season when the Barbados Karting Association held their fifth and final round of season one in the Frutee 2012 championship.

It was father's day on Sunday and as usual for every race day the fathers were out in their numbers supporting and helping their children. Here we see Mark Maloney helping his son Joshua Maloney onto the scales after a race.
Competing in a clockwise direction on the Williams Equipment sponsored day, Forde-Catwell swept his class on the day to gather a perfect 100 points and secure his victory in the season with 472 points. However the battle was behind him for the second place, with Christian Hinds and Javani Smith.
These two were locked in almost constant battle after Hinds had rectified the mechanical problem that kept him out of the first two races.
Smith made him battle for every inch of the track and did not just surrender his position to the former karting champion. Instead with was some very close racing from the young and talented drivers and it came down to some clever driving from Hinds under braking to get by Smith for second place.
However though Hinds was second in the last two races he did not amass enough points to overtake Smith who still walked off with second on the day with 78 points after finishing second twice and third twice.
Nick Gill was third with 50 points in the class and Hinds had to settle for fourth place with 42 points.’
Joshua Maloney went into the day only needing to secure 65 points to guarantee his 270 Yamaha first season class victory.

He starting off race one in fine fashion by winning against Saviola Thomas, Zane Maloney, Joshua Parris and Aiden Fortier.
However he had to settle for third place in the next race which was won by Zane Maloney. Joshua slipped all the way to fourth for the next race but bounced back in the final race to win and secure the day’s class victory with 84 points. Tied on 82 points were Thomas and Zane for second place, while Joshua Parris with 71 points was fourth and Fortier fifth with 60 points.
