Do you want to play Paintball in Barbados?
Adrenaline Sun has been covered with Barbados Paintball stories since our launch. From paintball organizers to paintball junkies it has been a colorful ride… but potential players are asking us about how they can join in on the action.
So for all you Adrenaline Junkies who can’t wait to get that semi-artistic artillery in your hands and paint your rivals into a corner, we’ve once again brought in Xtreme Paintball Barbados President, Nicholas Gittens for a second coating.
There are some Junkies who want to join in on the action, how can they become a member of Xtreme Paintball?
It’s easy to become a member but hard to stay as one. We take safety seriously, we run a strict club, my nickname is HITLER so you can understand and this is why we have a perfect safety record. Not to scare you but if you breach our safety bans can span from 3 weeks to 6months.
Where do they sign up?
Visit the Club at Paragon, Christ Church in order to familiarize yourself with its activities.
Are there any specific documents that they need to carry?
Well first persons need to fully complete a Barbados Rifle Association (BRA) application form and Medical History form, return it to a BRA Council member or qualified paintball instructor with one passport photograph and a police certificate of character and two (2) Referrals.
Sounds relatively simple, do you become a full member after signing up?
Not as yet, once the BRA Council and the qualified instructor have approved your application, you undergo a probationary period of at least three months during which time the rules and regulations of the club and all forms must be completed. Paintball procedures as well as the basics of paintball shooting will be explained to you by a qualified instructor in the particular paintball discipline chosen.
During this probation period, you will be expected to understand marker safety, rules and regulations of the club, paintball range procedures as well as participating in the paintball activities under the direction of a range officer. Candidates who fail to produce and qualify in any aspect which is deemed not being up to the club’s standard, will not be accepted to the program. All monies paid will be part refunded.
Your Paintball ID must be worn at all times when you are on the Grounds and all persons must familiarize themselves with the rules.
What should a Paintball Junkie-to-be know before grabbing his marker?
Saftey, learning the equipment and tweaking his attitude and personality.
The equipment you guys carry looks pretty serious, what basic stuff would a beginner need?
In order to engage in this sport the correct clothing items should be worn by all players, this would include: 2 shirts (1 t-shirt and 1 long sleeved shirt), a pair of long pants, a scarf or bandana and suitable shoes. Individuals wearing skirts, slippers/flip flops or not having the suitable amount of shirts will not be permitted to play. Camouflage is strictly prohibited.
We know you gave us some Last Words the first time around… so any Second Last Words?
Well everyone can rest assured BRA Paintball has 2 Internationally Qualified and Certified Paintball Tech and Range Master. We are all kept abreast of all paintball equipment and safety rules. People trust us, parents believe in us, that’s why we are Number 1.
