Max Boost Project Car Confidential – Tweed’s Subaru STI
This week we feature a car for the rally fans: The Subaru Impreza.
The Impreza WRX and WRX STI started production from 1992 and 1994 respectively and are still in production today. Each generation improving the rally style handling and the grip you hear stories about.

The Owner
The owner of this week’s project car is Tweed. Now Tweed is a real project guy. He has built a few nice vehicles before, but none as well put together or maintained as this particular machine. This 1997 GC8 Subaru Impreza STI, is not the newest Subaru Rally inspired machine, but it’s one of the best on the road.

- A larger turbo charger
- A Freshly built engine with uprated internals
- An improved Exhaust System
- An improved Intercooler to keep intake temps down
- A Fully Reprogrammable Engine Control Unit
- Uprated Suspension that’s fully adjustable to the drivers preference.
Future Plans
With everything practically finished there’s nothing much to do but drive. However, Tweed intends to re-tune the car in order to optimize its performance after a few small tweaks.
